We’ve arrived at this point after many months of planning, creating and sheer hard work. Before that, we had many years of dreaming of a place just like this.
We’ve always loved self-catering holidays and stayed in some fantastic places, and some dreadful too. The kind of places that make you think you could do a lot better. Well, rather than just say we could do better, here we are trying to prove it.
This is a part of the world that has always drawn us. But, then again, we’ve always loved places like Cornwall, the Lakes, East Lothian and Northumberland too. Our choice of holiday home would, we felt, simply come down to the property itself. Here in Treescape, we’ve found a place that ticks all the boxes and we knew it was the one for us as soon as we walked in.
In creating Treescape, we’ve been guided by a simple principle: would we want to stay here ourselves? So you’ll find really comfortable beds, a brilliantly equipped kitchen, modern technology (including individual room settings for heating, TVs in every room, full Sky packages, free Wi-Fi, wireless MP3 player and not one but three Blu-Ray players). You’ll find furniture that is both beautifully designed and, more importantly, really comfy. There are toys, DVDs and books. And, soon, you’ll find mountain bikes, wetsuits and a set of good golf clubs in the shed (which is plenty big enough for several sets of your own).
One thing we never expected to find in our property though are these amazing grounds: seven acres of woodland, huge lawns and wildlife, all of which are just waiting to be explored by adults and kids alike.
In the past few months, we’ve had many friends ‘roadtest’ Treescape for us and their comments and suggestions have proved invaluable. We look forward to welcoming you and hearing your own views.
